Knights Injury and Suspension Updates

Fitz worse than thought - at least 8 weeks out and may need an operation.
Well that should give Croker even more chance to show his wares . Its funny because to me he doesn't look like a footballer right up until he starts playing, then he goes good .
Saulo hasn't really impressed me yet but the coaches must see something worth keeping there . Momoisea I like the look of but his hands let him down in a game and Thompson and Croker seemed to leap frog him and have been playing well enough to stay there .
We have some good young forwards coming through , pity about Fitz he seemed to have his mongrel back this year .

Geez - to be 2 and 0 and top of the table after 2 rounds and having to figure out who has to make way in the next 2 weeks for some of the returns from these 1st choice players....dare I say it, we seem to be building a club that is developing the capability of competing and sustaining a place in the top half dozen sides of the NRL competition - somewhere in the back of my mind I can hear Daryl Kerrigan's voice ..."Tell him he's dreamin'!"
Daryl might be right………..

Injuries/Suspensions
Hymel Hunt - PCL - Round 5
David Klemmer - Knee - Round 5
Jack Johns - Shoulder - Round 8
Lachlan Fitzgibbon - Knee - Round 10
Mitch Barnett - Suspension - Round 10
Bailey Hodgson - Elbow - Round 10
Jayden Brailey - Achilies - Round 16
Anthony Milford - Legal Result Pending - Round 6

Interesting that both Fitzy and Barnett are due back at the same time - by that time the other boys will have had almost half a season in the team to take the left edge/pench prop spots.

Will they get straight back in or will the young bucks keep them out?

- Ponga all clear for Friday
- Fitzgibbon has had surgery, expected back in 7-8 weeks
- Klemmer also had surgery and is expected back in round 9-10
- Brailey is said to be on track so far with recovery

I heard Klem on the radio last week saying he had an arthroscopy to fix some torn meniscus and would be back by round 5-6. Now round 9-10 ?. I’ve had the exact same op and been back running and training 2 weeks later. Not at NRL level fitness obviously, but still able to do most things pain free.
I think they are covering up the seriousness or the extent of the injury, or maybe post op complications. Doesn’t sound right to me.

I think Catterick got mixed up between Fitz and Klem - or it's very mixed messages to say Klem is starting to run but will need another 6 weeks.
