Tickets go on sale tomorrow via ProTicket and the Muswellbrook Shire Council admin centre during office hours.

Now, I can tell you, I would advise taking a bus to Olympic Park, there is SFA space for parking anywhere near the venue and it sounds like they are not letting anyone bar the disabled and known VIPs. Take up the option of the shuttle bus going to and from the Showground, at least you can wait at Maccas while everyone else tries to get out.

Train is not really advisable, as the Scone branch of the Hunter line has no trains going back to Newcastle after 8.00pm. If you have overnight accommodation in Muswellbrook, then either the Countrylink or arvo CityRail train is a goer, it stops at Muswellbrook and is not far away from the grounds.

I still laugh at the fact that it is called an 'Olympic Park'.

I will definately be going to this. So is anyone apart from me and bigdan going? :)

Dave and I will go and maybe Paige so that's 5. Rush in quick to secure your tix!

Because this won't be broadcasted at all, will someone be posting score updates to the forum?

If it isn't broadcasted, I could probably text live updates to someone on here? Hopefully it is broadcasted but I'd doubt it. Trials never seem to be on the air.

Oh hey, back off - this is my job

Booked and paid for my tickets tonight. ;) That's 3 Knights trial games I'm going to in the next month-6 weeks.

If you're paying for the Gold tickets James, then yes.

Anyway, I went to Olympic Park today for work, and let me tell you - anyone looking to park at the ground, forget it, you won't find a spot. I looked at the space outside the ground and let me tell you, you will be barking up the wrong tree. There's hardy any space, and they will be enforcing it. The road leading in is only narrow, so either arrange to get there early and go to the Showground or find a nearby street. Muswellbrook is a hell of a place to park at the best of times.

As for public transport - best bet is the Countrylink train, as that arrives around 1.30-2pm in the arvo at Muswellbrook and then it's only a short walk. CityRail trains only arrive early in the morning, or late at night, and there's only two of a weekend. Catch one and you will have a very boring night if you don't drink.

And I will give you a heads up - ATMs will be a bit of a walk, so bring your dough, as it's likely to be cash only. Nearest one are the Caltex if you walk out the gates and up Wilkinson Avenue, and back to the highway. If you park at the Showground, your best bets are the BP near the KFC, Muswellbrook Fair or the other Caltex along the highway. All major banks and Hunter Mutual are in Bridge Street if you're heading in that way.

Anyone else want some boring yet useful tips?:lol:

Best place to park may be behind franklins in the car park, but in saying that when I lived there Big dan no way in any world you would of parked there ever because you would have no window wipers or have been tagged or the windows smashed!!!

Beware Muswellbrook will sent you to the drink  (it sent me to the drink after 8 years there & I was in high school) ..... But if you are going to a pub for a drink go to eatons, the Prince, the workers club, the RSL or the golf club (golf club is perfect, across from olympic park)....

*This trial should of been played at DENMAN OVAL much better town IMO

I like Denman, good little town. Only trouble playing it there is that the ground would be far too small. Maitland sportsground would of been alright for a trial.
