It’s pretty staggering that AOB would drop a player and not utter a single word to them. Surely an explanation on the thinking and list of things to work on is the way to go about it?!

No wonder everyone is so much happier this year.
 
To be fair to Jenkins he did acknowledge he didn’t exactly pick himself every week in the chances he did get and understood his form didn’t warrant him to be picked over others. Whilst acknowledging the communication was different between AOB and Cleary he did say he did need a kick up the bum from Cleary both times saying he needed to work for his spot and he wasn’t his first choice to be picked until he’s come and earned it this year and last. So fair game to him for growing up a bit.

They were all pretty slow to report it, Foxsports sounded pretty bitter making it sound as if he is shunning other clubs and rugby, like lol, maybe he was never considering it seeing as he signed months before testing the open market, and never openly said he would? After doing it last time.

SMH had a pretty terrible piece themselves, getting the weekend intern who doesn’t watch NRL to do it. Chammas probably in hiding from the socials since she didn’t get the scoop

This article is old news.

More the point that on the day KP, one of the biggest talents in the NRL, extends with the Knights, literally 30 minutes after the signing news hit, Fox chooses to run this year old Jenkins story about his sh!t time at the Knights. And the blurb with the article is not that Jenkins needed a kick up the bum and HE was the reason he didn't succeed here! It's quoting him saying if he stayed there, "it would be another sh!t year of footy....Jenkins on his time at the Knights."

If I'd stayed there....Right after KP re-signs. Literally 30 minutes after lol.

Yeah absolutely, just wasn’t meant to be for him at our club. As I said earlier in the week, it was similar vibes to Dom at the Roosters. But that doesn’t excuse the lack of basic communication between coach and player.

To bring it slightly back on topic, Ponga’s comments about how much happier everyone is this year and how they’ve been given a licence to play to their strengths say it all, as well.
