Kalyn Ponga discussion

Nothing wrong with what the boys did, other than being dumb enough to go in together and getting caught. Mann should know better he's nearly 30. Ponga being the club captain on a big salary should have more respect for his position and the club.
 
In my profession, my employment agreement stipulates that i am agreeable to random &/or "by cause" (e.g.; any incident) drug tests. I also do d&a tests before I'm allowed on many work site.
In this modern world it's crazy that some professions still don't openly agree or insist to this compliance.
Wouldn't simply volunteering to taking a hair follicle drug test clear up this whole shamozzle for all parties???

On the positive side, Parr has been here for one week and is imposing some standards around the place already. I like that they're playing NSW Cup too, it's not just a week's holiday for them.

We've handed over the Ponga investigation to the NRL Integrity Unit.

I hate this. Absolutely reeks of scapegoating players so you’re seen as setting standards, rather than actually holding players to them to begin with.

You’re not gonna hear about this happening at Melbourne because you get caned on the training paddock for it, not strung up for the media.

You can just drop the players, you don’t need to announce they’re being stood down. You don’t have to explain it to anyone.

and if there guilty they go on the strike register with the other 100+ nrl players. the fact the nrl has a strike policy shows they know its happening on a large scale basis and dont care, so why should we?
i hope the nrl and knights both investigate why their employees are being filmed in restrooms and look to press charges.

I think dealing with this sort of stuff at the Storm is a bit of a different kettle of fish to dealing with it at the Knights. They have an amazing culture to begin with. Other players will hold them to it. Not the case here.

Last I checked, a cubicle was made to accommodate one male and not two for a good reason.

The only time I have ever entered a cubicle with another male was In primary school to trade Pokemon cards after there was a school wide ban because It became such a distraction during class and no one was doing any work.

Needless to say, we got caught as well.

I don't think our boys were trading Pokemon cards... Although I could be proven wrong and they come out and say so.

I will believe that more than anything that gets said by anyone else.
 
we can all assume what they were likely doing, but that wasnt the point of the post. theres literally over 100 players who have been done doing the same thing, NRL dont want to know about it, they want the clubs to handle it. for every incident like this there would be 50 you dont hear about.
rich blokes in their 20s "enjoying themselves" has been going on forever and a day.
Aslong as they can present for work and pass a test if required theres no issue. If his drinking against medical instructions from the club thats the issue.

Until team list comes out and everyone is asking why they arnt in the side. I like hes being open and honest. With those 2 out will give a young kid a crack anyway
