You're probably right, him at FB is the only good thing to happen here all year. That being said, I'd like to see how Mamo goes once or twice though

But seriously though mate, are we watching the same games? Particularly last match Gagai just couldn't stay on the ground, in fact, he was thrown back in goal from about 6 meters out

I wouldn't say the only good thing lol... The Sims boys have both been pretty good, as has Kade Snowden. The form of Jack Stockwell and Robbie Rochow was very good before they got injured as well... :)
 
Now that pangai has said he's not coming, I would love grabbing shannon boyd, think that bloke has representative prop potential if his fitness can improve slighty. Although I find it hard to believe canberra give up any of the top 17, prob going to get mccrone or joel Edwards back. should be know as early today who we are getting, I'm hoping im excited but have a feeling it's going to be yet another let down...
Cmon gids get us something to be happy about!!
 
Joel Edwards is a rumour I saw on twitter, and sounds about right. :(

Shannon Boyd is fantasy land stuff, it's going to be a player Canberra don't mind losing - otherwise they will just wait another six months and sign Leilua anyway.

Id rather we give them bj for nothing instead of wasting a spot on bringing Edwards back, another forward who lacks what we need, attacking flare. please suprise us gids
 
According to Toohey today it will be settled by 5pm today.
He says the Knights have knocked back Shillington, Edwards and one other i hadn't heard of, but were keen on Pangai and canberra wouldn't let him go.

Where'd you hear that? So if we've turned down shillo and Edwards are we still getting something back? Or are we just giving them Joey? Surely if we decide to keep him til seasons end he can't play another minute in first grade

Well good on them for trying atleast. I would've thought they'd pretty much take anything they could get. Canberra aren't gonna let go Pangai when they can have both him & Leilua in 6 months time. Shillington seems to be the best guy on offer, hopefully we backtrack & take it, unless they're looking at someone we haven't heard rumours about yet, like a Cornish.

Yes we have something they want but it's also something they will be getting regardless of these negotiations

They have the upper hand in this situation

Noones understanding that either way raiders get leilua, whether it be now or next year. They have all the leverage based on the fact Joey has basically said he doesn't wanna be here anymore and is 100% a raider next year. They'd be saying to us you can either get something in return for him now or wait until seasons end and loose him for nothing, based off of that Id prefer we get what we want not some scrub from the mounties, we have leilua cap space now so let's use it properly...
