Jarrod Mullen

Might put to bed any talk of a come back.

And you would think also any assistance they were providing him to get him on the right path. Being a drug cheat is one thing, but a drug dealer is something the club does not need to be associated with.

I met him once at a fan day and he was full of life.

He has hit rock bottom now, he has really made a mess of his life now.

Any comeback that was hinted was probably already at a less than 1% chance given the direction we were going, and his age, injury history and getting up to speed with the modern game and physical requirements.

That said hoping Gardner is true to his word.

Not sure why the media need to re report something that was already hinted at the time though. And wasn't he going to be involved with ASADA in their education program too?

I got lost in YouTube over the last couple of days and watched a few videos of Knights tries scored 09,10,11,12. With how his career ended it's easy to forget just how good of a player Mullen was. Played busted a fair bit but at his best he was brilliant.

At his best it'd be a difficult selection between Mullen and Matty Johns if they played in the same era.

All hypothetical, but imagine a pairing of Matty and Joey up against Mullen and Pearce. The Johns boys would more often than not get the points, but it would be an awesome spectacle. All four of them are game-breakers in their own right.

Just my opinion, but had he not been hampered by injury Mullen could have notched up around 300 games by now may very well be our current captain.

Unfortunately it'll always be a case of what could have been...

With the players Mullen had around him I’d say he excelled, I did and do still rate him. Injuries were cruel to him.

Very lucky he is a ‘celebrity’ in a sense otherwise any regular person would be in a cell right now.

Yep though the NRL has been littered with players being protected from the law by either their club or the NRL itself for some time and for legal reasons for the forums sake it’s probably not worth specifically pointing out individuals or groups but those smart enough can probably figure it out.

Not an excuse for him or anyone, just the way it is unfortunately.

He was very quick off the mark too , he had all the tools as well just my opinion but SOO stuffed him up for quite some time.
Before we came here Mullen had slept in my sons bedroom on a number of occasions he played footy with a couple of the guys here .
