Jarrod Mullen

Hate to be a downer but as soon as I saw him hanging out with Les Mason, think they actually lived together, I knew it wasn’t going to end well for Jarrod.

Hopefully he can get the help he needs but so be it if the law comes down hard on him.

He didn't nearly die.
He isn't likely to be prosecuted.
He has had rehab and is now fine.
The Terrorgraph sells paper by exaggerating the hell out of anything they can link to the NRL.

Gardner has debunked a few things but it wasn't any of the above^

He was not at a party with Les Mason, and none of the Knights top 36 were at that party. He was at home where he was found overdosed. And overdosing is very serious, so it is always a risk when you do so and young people certainly die from it.

It's odd that Australia seems to be only country were sportsman aren't expected to act like adults, you f--k up your own on your own, own your decisions and the consequences.

Freddy down the f--ks up belts someone his in the slammer, NRL people clamber to support them.

Makes me sick.

Committing a criminal act isn't a silly error, its comittings a crime and stuff them they should suffer the consequences without anyone elses help.

Well said. Maybe try it in English next time?

It's about empathy. I don't think anyone has suggested it's not Mullo's fault or that he shouldn't suffer the consequences of his actions. The bloke is still a human being though, suggesting that he should be left to spiral down without anyone else's help is frankly borderline psychopathic.

Yeah and he never blamed the Knights or anyone else for his actions, other then exploring whatever legal avenues to clear his name (which he is perfectly entitled to do). I am really glad that Gardner has publicly thrown his support behind doing whatever it takes to help Mullen stay in the right lane and back off his feet. You can tell he genuinely cares about his well being.

This quote stood out to me, and sums up the situation well and why he felt obliged to help - "We as a club will do everything we can to assist Jarrod and his family but we must understand that he’s been barred from contacting the game for the next four years," Gardner said.

I didn't have empathy for Wicks, I won't have empathy for Mullo if found to be true he was involved in a drug ring.

100 times worse than Joe Schmo without any money as these guys are loaded.

The NRL should not be wasting its resources on criminals.

I work for a multinational, if I got found guilty and lost my job for bringing the company into disrepute I'd be expected to be an adult and face the consequences.

I don't see why these prima donna's should be any different.

I am also not afforded nor is anyone else in Joe public 100th of the opportunities these men are.

I see Jarrod in the photos from Scott Dureau's night. Is that violating the conditions of his ban ie no contact with Club ?

And they will probably spit out something Pearce related like farting during the event or something too.

He’s hit rock bottom. Tragic really. One simple mistake has made him lose everything he loved. Hard to feel sorry for him.
