James Schiller discussion

[Defence wins games]

If Marzhew was playing as an edge back-rower he’d drop the ball on impact every time he’d hit the hole as a lead runner. Plus he’d be a defensive liability.

True, but with intensive defensive work in the off season, a move to back row may be a saviour for him. Lots have done it in the past.

The players on that left side need to help him out. It’s a team sport. Every game the opposition winger gets a clean run straight to the ball. Watch the Storm and see how many players they put in the way of the runner.

This is just one of the many areas where attention to detail is severely lacking.

I think they’ve finally just packed it in tbh, which sucks but honestly I don’t care. What are we playing for at this point?

Sometimes it’s worth giving a penalty to avoid him being left isolated one on one.

I know best has been out recently but he's not great at running interference either

This is surely a lack of coaching, everyone knows he struggles under the high, and everyone knows they are going to bomb him and what has AOB done about it, nothing. Every other team gets players there to assist the winger except us, what a surprise.

Problem with getting people around Greg is his own team mates would probably bork him so he'd still drop it.

I think he's decent enough to be a regular first grader but he missed a trick when the Dragons tried to sign him.

Once Dom returned to the Knights, his opportunities here starting were always going to be limited and with more young blokes coming through. He's really going to be behind the pecking order, he should get a lot more opportunities at the Tigers starting if Benji actually starts him consistently and not swap him out every 2nd week like he does with every outside back at that club.
