(Idea) Virtual Bookie

[Brogga]

Great Idea. How do the odds and stuff get worked out? I not really sure how it works, i guess if it goes ahead, it will need to be closely watched and managed.

Defiantly. I can see it being a lot of fun as long as well controlled.

Do It!

I've done a few events over at LL, and it's pretty simple to use.

[Frizzed]

There we go U23 has volunteered the job! lol

[knight-no-7]

Its not about doing it, im sure it can be managed but yea, we'll see what happens.

Well why you worried about it being watched closely ?

Haha, well if it gets me more involved, why not.

With the way credits are earned, I really liked PK's idea. A set amount at the very start and that's that. If you go broke, suck eggs.

[Frizzed]

I agree, if you go broke, stop betting on poo teams lol.

[Almo]

No theres actually an option in vBookie if you go to 0, you get automatically 25cash.

[Frizzed]

Yes, but people shouldn't be rewarded for making silly bets.

Not really... there will be no point in all of this if not everyone cant bet.

[Frizzed]

Eh, I suppose, does this mean its going ahead ?

Well, James hasnt exactly replied to this thread apart from:

"$500 on the ball not going over the fence onto the road on Sunday."

So We'll have to discuss it. I'm 50/50.

[knights4premiers]

If we get it will it just be for footy betting or more like things?

Sport mainly though

James, sort your crap out please!

[~knights1~]

well come on james

we all want it

[jamesgould]

I don't see the point of it really, this is a place to discuss opinions, not bet with pretend money. Isn't there like sites around where we could make a group and do it like that? That'd be a better option, I reckon.

I'm also mindful of not overloading our server, as you know it has a lot of photos and videos, plus this forum gets pretty busy. The more interactive stuff you add, the slower it is going to get. This isn't a top quality server here, it is shared between many different sites.

[~knights1~]

no worries then

Would anyone be interested if it is set up on another site - the sites James is talking about?
