Seen as though a few people like to have a punt, why don't we set up a virtual bookie ?

Just for a bit of fun of course.

Yeah, but how would you do it? Just a thread where you put your bets in?

There is a specific program that will just get installed.

There will most likely be a new forum section too then.

About vBookie though.. I'm sort of against it. As much as I guess some people do like to bet, I think it would be taking away the focus of being soley a Newcastle Knights forum and makes it look too busy. Just my opinion.

I was thinking the same thing U23. An Arcade would be good... VBookie might be able to wait.

Just make it that only members that has been here for a while are allowed to bet. And set up rules or what can be posted in VBookie threads etc.

I think it would be quite interesting,

Would you be able to determine the about of money you get from the amount of characters in your post? that could help.

I'm not sure how it would take away the focus of being a Knights forum, it's not like were telling people to join because of our vbookie, besides it could be hidden to guests.

As far as money goes, something can be arranged.

Why not begin the season with a set amount - so no posting nonsense just to get more cash - and see how you get on throughout the season? The one with the biggest profit wins. Anyone joining in part way through the season gets a percentage of the initial amount.

Maybe membership into the bookie comp could be first approved by moderators? So only the sensible and regular posters get to join.

I like the idea. If its controlled and what not it could be a bit of 'outside' fun - Another quality to the forum of love

Great Idea. How do the odds and stuff get worked out? I not really sure how it works, i guess if it goes ahead, it will need to be closely watched and managed.

The odds and events will need to be added by a 'Bookie Mod'.
