Four Nations Final: Australia v New Zealand @ Suncorp Stadium

WTF?! First New Zealand's so called superstar "Benji Marshall" chucks a forward pass 1 metre in front of himself and they never call it up?! We would of won it if it weren't for that 1 call. That's bulls***!
Morris' foot was on the touch line. Straight after that, Aus score. So it's fair game.

NZ were the better team anyway imo

It's gotten to a stage where lockyer has become selfish more than anything. Sure he is still a good player, but he's no longer the best 5/8 out there. This roos squad was the most lacking in creativity i'd seen in a long while, especially withotu thurston. We had two halves that were solid and good tacticians, but they don't have flair.

Yeah, it does feel a bit like that, maybe it's time for the likes of Lockyer & Civoniceva to move on. I've stated this before, but i'd love to see Australia picked on form, how good does this look at fullstrenghth:

1. Slater
2. Uate
3. Jennings
4. Inglis
5. Boyd
6. Carney
7. Prince
8. Shillington
9. Smith
10. Scott
11. Lewis
12. Thaiday
13. Gallen

14. Gidley/Farah
15. Learoyd-Lahrs
16. Bird
17. Young

Australia's main problem through the tournament and especially tonight, were the backline. The wingers/centres as well as Slater, were just crap. Tonga is a decent player, but he was simply SKD's b!tch tonight. While i think it's good to keep some players who have proven themselves for Aus, Like Josh said, you stilii need to pick some players who have form to bring over. How Uate and Boyd were over looked I have no idea........

Difference is... Australia are a bunch of individuals put together by QLD and NSW players.

The bond isn't there at all... They all play for themselves in the side.

New Zealand side is completely different, it's like they're a small family united.

Ps lol to Tim Sheens... Choosing Tuqiri over Boyd and Tonga alltogether.

I love this side, but I'd make a few changes:

1. Slater
2. Uate
3. Jennings
4. Inglis
5. Boyd
6. Carney
7. Prince
8. Shillington
9. Smith
10. Costigan
11. Lewis
12. Thaiday
13. Gallen

14. Gidley
15. Hayne
16. Bird
17. Young

Umm... why?

Because although they're not the same player in terms of style, they cover the same positions (with exception to fullback for Young maybe) and that would mean you have 3 hookers (because that's where they always play in rep teams anyway) which means either one misses out or some of them don't get adequate gametime and you could have used that spot for another forward whom have a lot higher workrates.

Yeah exactly. Young can cover hooker and back row. If there are injuries in the backline, move Lewis into the backline and re-shuffle a bit if you need to. Either Gidley or Young. No point having both.

Young is no where near up to standard if you want to play him as a specialist second rower...there's so many players ahead of him in that.

Did anyone see the person who dogged Shillington when the fight was on? I dunno who it was but he came from the side and whacked him on the side of the head hah

It was an entertaining game of football, the result absolutely sucked though. Gee Tuquiri was hopeless on the wing.

I hope Tate's career isn't over, the poor guy has been through a hell of a lot with injuries.

That crowd was very disappointing, what was 30 & a half thousand or something? Not that good for a 4Nations final between Australia & New Zealand up in Suncorp, the home of Rugby League.

I didn't see the match, could anyone tell me how Gidley went?

Gidley was playing in the centres for the majority of the game & played solid, didn't make any errors thankfully, he definately looked alot more comfortable.

On topic, Benji has to be the best player in both Rugby codes at the moment, i can't think of any other player that is better currently.

Todd Carney? Billy Slater?

Just to name a few.

Nah Carney hasn't been that good since Finals Week 3 & Slater's been good but not as outstanding as Marshall.
