Totally, look at the Warriors, do everything right all year, halves get injured, lose form and they’re out in straight sets.

And look at Frizell, 16 years in first grade and it’s the first time he’s made it this far.

Even Joey only made it this far four times.

By the same token, the Warriors haven't looked *confident* when it gets to the big games.

It's a fine line. You need to be confident but not complacent. You need to play with desire and at times desperation but you can't lose composure. You need to stick to your processes but be prepared to toss all that in the bin at times and just do whatever it takes. If it was easy everyone would do it.

I think we have a playing group that wants this really badly, and we have the best coach we could conceivably get to keep them confident & switched on. Could look stupid in a few years time but if they don't win one in the next few years it won't be because they tossed their chance away. I don't think that's who these players are.
