Well what a game!
I typed something similar on Facebook so my apologies if you read this twice.
So the tone was set from that first try. Nobody from Souths showed any desperation to get to the bomb and Doms determination and McEwens speed and power really exposed the laziness that has haunted the Rabbits off and on for years. There was nobody there to stop it, in fact guys were walking towards that kick, 10m out from their own line, in a final and the amazing Trell made the laziest attempt at a tackle by gently wrapping his arms low on Dom. I honestly felt like it was a foreshadowing and exposed the mindset of a team that’s bought into all the BS about themselves through the media. I think they expected the win to just land in their laps somehow.
I’ll be clear, I didn’t think we would win but believed it would be close.
Man I haven’t looked at any stats yet but everyone was on song. The back 5 phenomenal, the second rowers are absolute war machines and our young forwards?! Not that I’m complaining but how is it they get better given the enormous occasion? So many times you see people go into their shell or fall to bits and my heart was in my throat all game waiting for it. Hopwood is a freak. I really enjoyed watching that pud’n headed sh** trying to strip the ball off him and getting rag dolled.
Honestly this was a fantastic way to finish my 42nd birthday. Super proud of the young men, coach and staff. Hopefully everyone keeps writing them off!
And to add a little cherry on top, have a go at these sh** bags? They look like they’ve been at a funeral.

He said on the coverage before and after he didn’t give them a hope of winning. Thought that was pretty **** to be honest, wasn’t like they were playing Penrith at their best
Thought Latrell spoke really well after the game. Was very complimentary of the Knights, KP and Gags especially. No sour grapes, just said the better team won and were definitely beaten to the punch

A look at everything the bunker ruled on and even though a lot of calls went our way they were the correct calls. I didn’t think they got anything wrong. A couple of forward passes missed but they never seem to rule on those in any game anymore.
The way the game is the mckewen strip overturn was a genuine 50/50, i honestly think we got kissed on the **** with that call, right call, but not enough to define it like that.Yeah the supports are all filthy at the bunker.
