Finals Week 1 vs Rabbitohs - 7:50pm Friday 11th of September - Allianz Stadium

Keon and Tatola we will have a field day against our middle, hard to win when we will make 30 metres a set v their 50 metres a set.

It's academic unfortunately.

Also relying on Psaulo and Crouch is just depressing as our bench props. I feel for Hopwood punching above his weight but ideally his coming off the bench instead of starting here - we potentially could start with Psaulo and Hopwood, forgot Mooney is gone.

Yep we are cooked lol.
We've been outmatched in the middle more often than not this season and hasn't stopped us from winning games or scoring tries from anywhere on the field.

Weren’t the Knights actually hoping to land Josh Hannay but he chose the Titans because he thought they had a better roster 😂
Jury's still out for me on Hannay at the Titans. Their roster is definitely not better than ours but I don't think Hannay wanted the Knights job anyway.

I was at a live show at Magic Round this year where Gorden Tallis was there as a speaker and was adamant Hannay would be a better coach than Holbrook and that the Titans would beat us which of course didn't happen.

He also got several questions from Knights and Super League fans who really rated Justin were there about why Gold Coast sacked Holbrook and how much better he has been with us and why the Titans have gotten worse since, and claimed Holbrook wasn't up to it and thought Hasler was a better option based off that he won a premiership 15 years ago.

We have terrible injury luck but have had some good fortune when it comes to missing out on signings eg Hannah, Pezet, Leo, as well as the handful of awful signings Nathan Brown tried to make
All still not as bad as Wayne's signings heh.

It's actually crazy how Des became so washed up once he went to the Titans, where careers really do kind of go to die. On top of Des Hasler, Garth Brennan and Neil Henry were pretty much chewed up and spat out. Holbrook getting a second chance after being in the wildnerness for a bit. Hannay looking like following suit. He was a half decent coach at his second stint at Manly until the pride stuff which he didn't have much control over ruined him.

And yeah never rated Flanno other then being a good people person. So glad we never really aligned with when he was looking and never considered him. It's the same as Matt Lodge, people will hand back their memberships if they ever sign that cheater.

And people underrate how filthy everyone was when he was exposed as still coaching the Sharks while he was supposed to be suspended. Just a horrible look. Sharks fans to this day are still filthy at him for setting their club back.
His stint at the Dragons where he had full control over the roster which got worse since he got there was a sign every club was right to shun him over the years until the desperate Dragons gave him a second shot. At least we wont have to hear about him being linked to clubs again seriously.

So how many people on here going to the game
I checked an hr ago and there was still plenty of tickets, but the thought of getting belted and then having to navigate moore park carpark and then drive home to newcastle all after 10pm has turned me off. Think il just stay home so i can cry myself to sleep as soon as it hits fulltime if needed 🤣

Hate hate hate driving to Allianz, people talking about Accor being a bomb but unless you can commute around easily living in the Eastern Suburbs its a nightmare logistically for everyone else.
I went to the souths game at accor this year, was about 30k people there and it took me just under an hr to get out of the carpark. both grounds are horrible for us simple country hicks from newcastle 🤣

Park in the schools across the road and walk in. An extra 10 mins walk and ya basically drive straight out
If you accommodate getting there over 30-60 mins before it's probably okay and there's a spot and you need luck but sometimes that time eats up when you get close and you're waiting for everyone else to park. Sometimes the makeshift carpark is even full!

There's plenty of places to park around Accor that aren't paid to avoid the car park. Understandable if you don't go often. The side streets around the apartments and sometimes across the road (Parramatta road) if you're not a slow walker it doesn't take me long to get to.

You have to beat the Jai Arrow effect as well.

this is the worry for me, we can match any team attacking wise and have shown even when getting dusted through the middle that we can, but if Souths are still riding the wave of momentum of doing it for Jai, thats what could get them home more so than anything else.

feel like we're in for another high scoring, shoot out style game but it wont quite be 42-38 levels.

Everyone has to understand what this club can still do with the amount fo injurys we have!
Playing with 12 man agaisnt 1st who conceded on average 12 points a game we stuck it to them, with brown, manu injured, lucas, dom, pheonix, jacob sent off like it was unbelievable. We were creating overlaps with 12 man imagine how much confidence that bring to the team when they see theres 13 on the field
Sure we might get beaten in the middle a bit but if we continue to use the ball we can make easy metres up the field. Theres just so much danger in the outsdies backs! Bradmans flicks of to marzew and smith just straightening up the attack for ponga to run out the back of shape its so deadly
What really worries me is latrell on gags and fifita on sandon
If we can shut down cody early and trust our inside man in defence we are a chance

My Hoping/Predicted Lineup is -
1. Kp
2. Dom
3. Gags
4. Bradman
5. Gregy
6. Sharpe
7. Sandon
8. Pasami
9. Pheonix
10. Hopwood
11. Manu
12. Jermaine
13. Crokes
14. Graham
15. Crouch
16. Frizell
17. Cant
18. Hunt
19. Hagan
Coach - Coach of the Year Holbrook

Can't beat the experience of a knights final live no matter the price although it couldn't be any more expensive
Tickets starting at $49, or $34.75 each for a family of 4($140) plus another $30 each for food.

Or enjoy on FTA and spend $40 on pizza hut for the night.

Seriously who the hell can justify those prices for 80 minutes of footy.

PS - Plus Souffs fans? 🤪

I'd like to think they're more emotionally burn out

Nah, they are now going to use this game to remember Fifita's dad who passed away a year ago as the anniversary is on the Saturday, they will use that as extra motivation.

There's always something going on at Souths that they use as an excuse to get up for games.
