Ex-Knights Watch

technically ex players now, don’t have new clubs confirmed yet. But will be interesting to see where some of our leaving players go, a few guesses:
Annan - Union
Hastings - SL
Hetherington - SL? he’d kill it over here in the uk
Elliott - Rabbits? or has that deal died
Teague - ??
Bryan - Manly
Jones - Sharks
Cogger - Panthers (good guess this one 😉)
just to name a few

plus our confirmed:
kpp - tigers
brailey - the milk
leo - dogs
greacon - SL
arthur - SL
Both Elliot and Hetherington being chased heavily by manly and one or both may end up there

Manly tried to get Hetherington mid season:

I heard tonight he is ether going there or super league London broncos or Toulouse if both those teams get in.

Elliot manly, souths, tigers are in for him. He won’t go to SL because of Millie
I actually rated Elliot but unfortunately injuries crueled his time with us. He’s a risk to sign. Probably wouldn’t start him and have him ooff the bench.

Lockyer is in with a consortium investing in the London Broncos so don’t be surprised if a few players head over there for a pension top up.

Sasagi is playing the role he played in our SG Ball team.

He always played 14 in Ball and went on for anyone - centre, wing, hooker, 5/8 - anyone - and all he did was run like a madman, beat players with footwork and strength, and score a try most games - didn't matter who he replaced - he played exactly the same.

What’s rough about that is when AOB arrived for those first couple of years players who left the club raved about how AOB was so much more honest and direct with them than they were used to. Danny Levi and Sione Mata’utia were both positive about the club when they left in that sense.

I guess that fell by the wayside.

Gee, they sound like a well ran club 😳

No wonder they can’t win a game, when the leaders are that amateur.

Pretty tough to hear that really.
Contemporary research shows that quality feedback has the greatest affect size on human performance, be it academic, athletic or whatever.
This is quite a shameful situation and goes to the heart of under performance across all endeavours.
If this was happening at NRL level, it is likely to have permeated through the entire organisation. This explains the old hackneyed cliche,”The fish rots from the head down”.
Joey appears to have some accurate insights into the Knights dilemma about the new coaching position at the club being a 4-5 year fix, particularly if the Jenkins situation was the norm.
Let the new broom sweep clean in all areas of the Knights football program.

Was anyone ever under the impression that AOB was a good communicator?
To be fair no, but I do think a lot of us were under the impression AOB new basics like letting someone know why they were dropped.

More and more reasons coming out on why it was good to get rid of him if he can’t do basics what was he like with the more advanced stuff

While it is disappointing that AOB didn’t communicate being dropped /team selections well in this case. I think we also need to acknowledge that Milky said himself he didn’t want to be there and the games I saw he played woeful.

As for the exit interview, they are such a waste of time. Milky didn’t want to be there, evident when he asked for a release. What would be gained from one? I get he wanted the feel good moment to say goodbye which I understand and think fair enough but he was also bailing mid contract after being underwhelming.

Im glad he has found his feet at Penrith but it was a mistake for us to sign him. Glad we have Dom back.

Thats such abhorrent treatment, no wonder the team looks so disconnected if the culture is so bad with communication. We see it with the fan side of stuff, no letting us know whats happening with the club like other clubs do. Bad membership packs etc etc. Culture is built from the top with the environment around the players, lets hope Holbrook can change that.

Jenkins played some poor games though for us. I get he wasn’t happy and it’s hard to perform well when not happy - been there before myself.

Did the club see that he didn’t want to be there in how he trained, played? Did he kick stones? I obviously don’t have any idea as not involved but there is always two sides to every story.

The club was very quick to release him
