Ex-Knights Watch

AOB should have been eaten humble pie ajd signed Hosking back in 2023 when he wanted to return to Newy.

Would have got more out of him than KPP on overs.
In saying that Lucas, McKewen ESL and Manallelelelelel however its spelled, probably lock up our 2rf for a while. I never wanted Hosking to leave. Or thinking as i type, these guys could move to FRF they are big enough

Just reading that Lucas Miller is the new head coach of Central.
He is the son of former Knights assistant coach "Barney" Miller.
Lucas was our best junior prospect at one time - a ball playing prop.
He was poached by Melbourne and had a great junior career there, but knee injuries ended his career. He did come back to the Knights and played a bit of reserve grade on one leg, but only a few games.
Anyway - he played juniors at the highest levels and I think he got a game or two for Melbourne NRL - or maybe that was Rochow.
We really should try to get him to coach our juniors - he was the most skillful junior forward I've seen - great offloader, great playmaker, even had a good kick and long pass as a prop.

Ben Talty is getting a run in Broncos tonight after a few other back up props pulled out with injury.

“Pulled out” haha. Ahh dear me.

Just saw that during the Sharks/Dolphins game. Great wing combo, two very different players who were fantastic for us for years. Hopefully Dom and Marzhew can get close to it over the next few years.

That’s also a testament to how good a goal kicker Kurt Gidley was once he’d been doing it for a few years.

A lot of teams score tries in the corner but between 2008-2014 we did it pretty much exclusively when you look at the above stat and also think that Cooper Vuna scored a ton of tries for us too. To have a career rate around 80% is immense for having so many difficult kicks.

Ryan stig at 35 is lining up for lakes this week, it seems like a lifetime ago he played for us. First time ive seen him in the lakes side, i thought he was at wests, maybe a mid year change?
