They supported him and continued paying him and offered a 3-4 year contract extension after he was charged with assault and was going through court case
But raiders offered him massive money for what he had produced at a time Canberra werent setting the world alight and he accepted it.
The club then did what most clubs do and didnt pick him in first grade to help develop him for raiders but then Clint Newton and RPLA got involved so they let him go
But think we might have got Barnett at same time so in end we evened out for those first years till Barnett left really

2014 he set the world alight on the wing. I almost wonder did the move to back row really shorten his career? He got moved I think too soon.
