Yep, him and Tex Hoy both bagged the club in a joint interview after they went to Superleague. From what I’ve heard he left the club with a very bad opinion of it. I think even if the knights offered him a five year deal he wouldn’t come back.

ah well. Hope he misses the beach.Tom starling also has bagged us too
I have been really surprised that Manu has learnt to pass the ball recently. I don’t know how many Rorter’s tries have been lost this season due to Manu’s egotism.4 great tries on the right wing from the white Dom Young. Who needs the original version and his error riddled game?
Hi Billy your observation and stats quote here left me wondering. So I delved into the records to compare Armstrong and Sharpe. Let me say here, I think they are both good players and stats can be used to stretch the truth to favour an argument. Having said that and weighing all of the stats and film footage I've seen, "if i were the coach ( and I've done plenty of coaching ) I would have found Armstrong the better option". True Sharpe scored 4 trys in a game on the wing ( one of them absolutely spectacular), against the worst team in the comp. His 6 trys in 8 games of nrl, 2 from FB 4 from wing. That is the wingers second job. First job tackle oppo. Armstrong's 5 trys in 5 games, all came from FB a much tougher assignment. In fact, Armstrong scored a hat trick from FB in nrl. Hell he scored 3 on Saturday from FB.Hodgson and Armstrong have both played 31 NSW cup games.
Hodgson 2 tries and 2 try assists.
Armstrong 26 tries and 10 try assists.
Both players were signed for 2025.Hi Billy your observation and stats quote here left me wondering. So I delved into the records to compare Armstrong and Sharpe. Just my 2 cents worth. I fear I may not garner much support here, but opinions are like ar.... e........ h.. o..!
Where they will be next year was not the point. It was and still is about a coach making a decision on who was the best option. Both players were signed for 2025.
Armstrong just agreed to a new deal then changed his mind and signed elsewhere

Armstrong had been out for some time injured. If he had been fit a few weeks ago he probably nabs a wing spot. Dropping Sharpe for Armstrong this week would’ve been an absolutely absurd thing to do.Where they will be next year was not the point. On your reply, the ?coach" chose and encouraged one and the other quite understandardly said "maybe I should look elsewhere".
As I said I reckon they both have bright futures. I feel the "coach" could've handled it better.
Armstrong played 4 or 5 games on the wing and FB in Cup after the loss to the Bulldogs on 31 May. He, for whatever reason was blamed for the loss. Pity about the 4 games he won and the 16 DallyM pts he fought for and won. Maybe you should do yourself a favour and check the playing career stats, rather than just give your lack of facts opinion.Armstrong had been out for some time injured. Ok, the week Sharpe made his debut Armstrong didn’t play in any grade and there was chat he was injured, so he had to be replaced. The week Sharpe plays on the wing for the first time against Penrith, Armstrong isn’t playing in any grade. Armstrong didn’t play a game between June 29th and August 11th, so he wasn’t available for the Penrith game. Your backing armstrong more than he backed himself, he had a deal with us and chose to leave the nrl to play with a midpack esl club.Talk about jump to defend!!!
As I said earlier my observations and comments are pointed towards the "coach" and his statistically poor choice, not either player. The main thing being that is I don't agree with the "coach". Both players are great but in my opinion. One is a better selection.
Big call. You must have a crystal ball.Had it not been for sharpes injury earlier in the year armstrong would never of debuted.
Going off Sharpe playing fullback in front of Armstrong all year in reggies to that point, I'd say that's what would have happened.Big call. You must have a crystal ball.
