I’m just wondering if it is a defeatist culture that set in the years following Joey’s retirement. I think Brian Smith did a lot of damage to the Knights culture that had been built up. Wayne Bennett said the Knights had the worst culture he’d ever seen.

It’s very difficult to change the defeatist culture that developed at the club. We have made progress but we have a long way to go,

Brian Smith was 5 times the coach for us that Bennett was.

We made the finals 2/3 seasons after Smith left, I’d say he left the culture in a pretty good place. The less said about how Bennett left us the better.

He won’t, maybe a crap year for him, but he’ll be one of, if not the best wingers in the competition again next year. He’s too good not to be.
It hurt at the start, but I wish him all the best for the future and hope he has a shocker every time he plays us

Yeah I find the obsession with him quite sad really! He's a young guy who got a good offer and decided to move on, deal with it.
