I've heard POS say he doesn't like rep clauses, he'd rather just pay a guy more if he thinks they're that calibre of player and have clarity going forward about the cap position. So it probably makes no difference.

Totally with him, it's a terrible idea really. Puts the salary cap at the whim of rep selectors, who can be very random at the best of times. And I doubt any player would honestly say it's any sort of motivating factor. They get paid enough to play Origin anyway!

Thought it was a fair deal. Not really that close to playing rep footy but still solid of course. If he's worth 800k minimum like some people in the media may have been implying then Lucas is easily worth $1m lol.
