Think could be a damaging ball runner close to the line with his change of direction

Every game he seems to make a line break or leave defenders clutching for him with his change of direction. A good half that can feed him close to the line and he will be tough to stop.

People get silly calling for some pretty ordinary players to get a NSW call up but Lucas makes a lot of sense. Not only because he's a gun, but he also solves the problem of an outside back going down.

Agree with MattyM, Dylan will be our captain one day and can see him playing Origin as early as this year. If Hudson Young can crack the Blues, I don't see why Dylan can't make it.

Noticed the same. Getting onto his stomach while winning the wrestle and returning to his feet fast, very consistently.

If this game is anything to go by he's just gone up another level. Defence was good today too. Would love to see him bring a little more aggression and hurt into his defence. That would make him my favourite player by a considerable margin.

When’s he contracted to? Throw some of Brown’s $1.3m at him on a 5-year extension. Same goes for Fletcher. And renew Ponga while we’re at it too……..core of the club needs locking down for a long long time.

Lucas is arguably better with the ball in hand than Beau Scott. But, he is half the defender. Scott was a rare one. I don't expect Lucas to ever become that player because it takes something different for a man to take the field with the will and want to inflict maximum pain in every single tackle, and have the strength, fitness and technique to grapple and twist them into a position where he could slam them into the ground often flat on their back. Back to back tackles, all game.

Honestly, arguably my favourite forward of all time just purely based on how aggressive he was in defence.

Lucas probably isn't that guy. He has more of a Luke Lewis lite about him

He’s the type of player that the club’s saying” be the player everyone wants to play with” is built off of.

Tough, competitor, talker, consistent, doesn’t phone it in under pressure. If I were coach he’d be the first player on the team sheet every week and the player I’d want with the (c) next to his name. That’s my thoughts.

I said this a couple of weeks ago; Dylan Lucas is the most complete player at our club. There’s literally no aspect of his game he needs to work on. He just needs to keep doing what he’s doing. If he gets better that’s great. If he doesn’t, he’ll still play origin and for Aus.
