Dylan Brown discussion

DylBro has certainly exceeded my expectations for him at halfback this year.

Obviously there's still stuff in his game he needs to work on eg short kicking game but his combination with KP is definitely a lethal one and I think his arrival to the club is a big reason why KP re-signed.

A elite half who hopefully can continue on the trajectory he's on and a proper straightener of the football and also the best defensive half in the game.

Glad we got him of instead of Pezet who is still unproven and not convinced he'll even start at 7 for the Broncos next year.
 
Brown is only 26. We basically have one of the elite halves in the game locked up, and he is only just entering his prime years. Having him available for the origin period is invaluable. Him and McEwen are developing a nice partnership on the right. I would like to see him and KP linking up a little more, everytime they do they look unstoppable.
 
There is talk about the salary cap possibly going to somewhere in the range of 15-20 mil a season from 2028.

How do we feel about the Brown signing once the cap goes up?

From what I can tell Browns ratchet clauses go up to a max of 1.4 million a season.

In my opinion it looks like Peter O'Sullivan has made a pretty good deal 😎

Yeah every second halfback is going to be on $1m-1.5m and anyone with "upside" despite not playing a lot of first grade like the Pezet and Ponga types will get closer to $1m. Gonna be fun.

All of this wouldn’t have happened if Josh Perry didn’t run into Joey against Manly in 2003 23 years ago which lead to that neck injury which later caused him to retire four years later in 2007.
