What's I've always wondered about Bluetounge, is what happens to the ball when they take penalties/conversions on the Southern End. Doesn't the ball ever end up on the road?

I've never been inside, but it looks weird from outside, like they plonked it in the middle of a road or something!

Haha, come to think of it, it sorta does.

(The top end is the south end i was talking about in my previous post)

I heard somewhere that the bowling club at the North end is why it doesn't have a South stand, they wouldn't give up any of their land, meaning there wasn't enough room for stands at both ends.

It's a top stadium for sure, but it looks weird-as when you drive past it and can see right in!

Yeah it does look like if they kicked the ball would go right out onto the rd U23. I have never been there though

Nah, they're not even that tall. I've seen the ball boys going through the fence to retrieve the ball though. You can see them in some of the pics from the games at Bluetongue.

Next time I'm on that side I'll have a closer look.

Yeah they do, but the question is, doesn't the ball travel onto/over the road.

I think the road is a bit further away than it looks, it doesn't make it that far usually. I guess it could happen though
It really is a beautiful stadium. I love the trees there and it feels coastal.

I thought the same but I looked for that and I didn't see it go on the road but little people emerging from behind the trees with the ball. Whether or not it went over the fence and got thrown back I don't know.

Im assuming with most kick its goes over the fence. Its about less than 10mm away from the dead ball line.

I guess it mustn't go on 2 the road to often, otherwise they would have done something about it, it would be really dangerous for drivers.

On the Basin Reserve ground in Wellington, I was at a cricket match when a Wellington player hit the ball out of the park and it hit a car and smashed the windscreen! The Basin is the biggest roundabout in the world ...

i was watchng a A-league match yesterday, which was from there, but coulnt really see much... in terms of that side/road.

Im assuming with most kick its goes over the fence. Its about less than 10mm away from the dead ball line.

It so is not 10mm away, Did you mean 10m?
