Danny Levi requests a release

For 5 or 6 games there Danny played as good footy as anyone and the best he has ever played , Its just a pity that it took so long and so much drama for him to get there .

Wasnt Rick Stone the coach when Tapine signed with Canberra?

Stone let BJ go early because he thought he was above the coaches orders (though sadly for Rick a lot of Bennett’s boys thought they was)
Maybe that’s what you were thinking of
Don’t miss BJ and his brain snaps either

Rumors out that we're chasing Paul McShane from Castleford.
I've never heard of him, but I'll watch a couple of Castleford reply games tonight and see what his got.

*Levi has come to terms with the fact that he will probably be at another club next year.
*He would've of loved to stay at yhe Knights but in the end its a business.
*He said as long as he is at the Knights he will play his best and he would love to win a comp this year.
*He has always been confident he can play 80mins but that's up to Brown to leave him out their.
*He said if he can't find another club for next year he is happy to stay and fight for his possition.

Big change in his attitude here....
If he had this 12 months ago this wouldnt even be a talking point.

Any player who says they don't have their own financial security and welfare as their main focus is just pissing in your pocket.

Klemmer is only with us because we pay him a lot more than his junior club either could or would pay him, and he honestly and refreshingly says he never wanted to leave the dogs.

Levi has always said he wants to stay in Newcastle, but just like Klemmer, he has to do what is best for his career.

Levi will probably kill it at the right team, or do okay at a team like the Titans type of thing. No doubt his manager is probably advising him to speak a bit smarter if he is auditioning for a club in 2020 so that works out well for us because his club form will be good. I find it difficult to fathom a club won't throw 400-500k at him from 2020 onwards if his claims of being able to play 80 minutes are true.
