Danny Levi requests a release

Well, his claims are true. He has done it before and if Brown wanted to have an 80 minute hooker he isn't going to develop one by taking them off for 30 minutes of the game.

He should have been leaving Levi on for the whole game and letting him work out how to pace himself and get through it.

Brailey may work out nicely but he isn't playing 80 minutes now, so we have just gone around in circles with Browns endless search for his hooker.

Anyone thinking Brailey has a higher ceiling than Levi?

Levi has pretty much reached his peak this season. Which if he could maintain would be a very handy player.

I don't think either have peaked to be honest. They're both young and both could be exceptional in a few years' time.

Levi is still young and hookers get more cunning and effective as they get into their late 20s, as long as they can stay healthy.
Levi is only 9 months older than Woolford and 2 weeks older than Chris Randall.
If he stays fit, he will peak in about 5 years.

Isn’t Levi still contracted to end of 2020 so if he doesn’t go elsewhere we could have both him and Brailey for a season and if that happens you have to assume both Woolford and Griff might go with Randall and Huth the back up.

Toohey said we can't announce the signing until we prove we can fit him under the cap & therefore the Sharks allowing the release. Part of that proving the cap situation will no doubt involve moving on Levi & maybe others.

I'd say a lot of it would come down to what the actual figures for every player that has bonuses in there contracts and the total amount added to our years cap.

Taking into account Nathan Ross being off our cap, that frees up roughly 350k instantly.
We've been told all year we have cap room left for the right player"s" so surely Bailey wouldnt be on more then 350k??

Whose had decent upgrades?
Dan Saifiti ? Will get one l.
Fitzgibbon ? Got one.
Ramien - will get one.
Hunt - should get one.

A few juniors got upgrades, but that shouldn't break the bank.

Did Barnett get a upgraded deal?
Not sure who else has been upgraded this year.
