Cooper Vuna signs with Melbourne Rebels

Signed with them today, Might no be announced till later on.

I'm never wrong :fist:, As far as i know, he flew down there this morning and is signing today.

Sorry about the new thread.

Lovely work Knights! Let's sign up blokes like Rogers who haven't even proven themselves and let players go like Vuna.

What a shame. We cant keep them all though I guess... good luck to him. A great personality both on and off the field.

Details - 2 year contract, I heard it was a two year contract with an extra six months on it. Not too sure why or if its true. Now is eligible to play for Aus. in the W.C next year. Not sure on that one but that's what my source has told me.

Terrible news for the Knights, if it proves confirmed, and proves the recruitment staff are hopeless and need to be sacked.

As for Vuna now, if true, he should be dumped from the FG team and be sent to Centurions for rest of the year. I know it's harsh and a silly move, but i cant help but hate people who defect from the game.

That is a stupid call. He deserves his spot in our team, he saved us many times last night and has been very strong for us. The Knights should have tabled him an offer before they even went for Rogers. You cant blame him for leaving our game, he had to settle his future sooner rather than later.

Blame it on our recruitment Keith Onslow...hes been here since like forever?!? Great at recruiting talents from other locations (McManus/Uate) but terrible with big name signings.

I think we got Onslow from the bulldogs in the off season.....Well i'm pretty sure we did.

I know its a stupid call, probably why i said its a stupid call . And i know he still deserves to be on the starting line up. Nor am i blaming him, im blaming the recruitment staff, hence why i called them hopeless. So hopeless they didnt sign a star wing, but did sign a inconsistent 5/8 that should be playing lock. So hopeless they'll prolly give up hope of signing a star half and give dereau a 4yr contact :brickwall:.

Theres only so much latitude im willing to give on players simply cashing money. Atfer all, most of these guys take home pay is more then 90 plus % of australians wokers gross pay.

This recent off-season? noo hes been here longer than that..i think you're talking about Frank Barrett...

Well, ok i might be wrong but i could of sworn i read somewhere that we recently got him from the bulldogs. No, i know its not frank barrett im talking about

All the best to him. His served us well as an excitement machine. Maybe we can get him on match payments every time we play the Roosters or Cowboys just to run them over like old times.

One less headache to worry about next year. McManus and Uate on the wings it would seem now.

He's been with us for a couple of years, he was the guy that recruited Rogers for the 09 season

OK i stand corrected lol...but he was with the bulldogs at one stage...it must have been 2008 when he came over here lol....Sorry sammy.

He did come back from the dogs, but he was here before.
In fact I'm reasonably sure he was here when the Knights started in 88.
