either way, his game certianly sums him up, cos he's surely slow on the uptake when it comes to signing, resigning or not resigning players. :lol:
 
No doubt the Knights were aware he was being chased, and at the end of the day it's up to the player.

I said this a couple of weeks ago...

Uate, McManus & Vuna - all quality finishers and could easily fit on any NRL wing spot - but we've only got two, so I think one should go because otherwise it's just a waste.

Bloody pathetic, we didn't even seem interested in keeping him.

So over the Knights at the moment ... why don't we go after Daniel Fitzhenry to replace him, sign him up for $450,000 ... be a typical retarded Knights move.
 
Ahhh no way. I am so gutted by this. It will be true cos i knew that rugby was very interested in him. Jst gutted hes leaving us. I dont blame Vuna, i blame the recruitment again. Man our club is making some weird calls of late.
 
I've had it, what game are Stone and the other personnel watching? Uate and Vuna have been our top two players by a country mile this year. Cooper has clearly been loving it out there, all they had to do was offer a 2-3 year contract, he would have stayed for sure.

Absolute incompetence and amatuer player retention if this proves true.
 
:cry::cry::cry::cry: :( i've rated him since i first saw him and it's a shame. he's been in great form but i guess mcmanus will get a go..... knights recruitment people should get their *sses smacked over this. the only positive is that jimmy wight get a go next year.... i always said he would be a future star if they kept him.... this tops off a bad day
 
i don't blame recruitment that much. On the news a few days ago Vuna said he would wait till the end of June or July to decide on his future. He has also said on numerous occasions this season. I rate Mcmanus as a better winger anyway. Vuna is not a jumping winger and you need at least one of those although Uate is coming along i would feel a lot more comfortable with Mcmanus out their.
 
Maybe we are gearing up to sign someone? Seriously otherwise, why in the world would we let someone like Vuna go. As dumb as our recruitment abilities may be, this is just stupid.

Guess it makes way for McManus next season on the wing (whom i doubt would leave..)

To Smith i think he was, I personally think Stone likes fast entertaining wingers, unless Mcmanus can gain some speed quickly i can't see place in the team for the bloke. Only way i can see a spot for him is if Gids moves to Halfback.
