How Unlucky is this bloke... Hopefully he isnt out too long;

Just heard on 9, that he at worst he might need a knee reconstruction and could be out for the season....

Marshall lasts four minutes
March 16, 2008

WESTS Tigers star Benji Marshall has left the field just four minutes into their first- round NRL clash with St George Illawarra after an apparent knee injury.

Marshall fell to the ground clutching his left knee after throwing a pass.

He left the field shortly after, complaining the joint felt unstable and has been taken into the dressing rooms.

Marshall will not return for the rest of the game and will be sent for scans tomorrow.

It continues a horrific injury toll for the 23-year-old, who has endured four shoulder reconstructions since making his debut in 2003.

Tigers officials fear Marshall has torn his anterior cruciate ligament, which would require a season-ending knee reconstruction.

Marshall lasted just three minutes before he was forced off the field after injuring his left knee during what looked like a regulation play.

Club officials fear Marshall has damaged his anterior cruciate ligament, which would require a full knee reconstruction and could rule him out for the season. He will undergo scans Monday.

The New Zealand international has endured a torrid run of injuries, missing large chunks of the past two seasons and undergoing shoulder surgery five times.

I just wanna see him play one full season... he never ends up managing to.

Yea I think you will find he is out for the season.

Big blow to the Tigers although I'm sure by now they have learnt to play without him.

Bigger dent in NZ hopes of winning the world cup.

Out for the season!? That's extremely unlucky for him. I really feel for him.

Chris Walker also did something to his ankle and needs surgery, and will be out for the rest of the season. Hate to see it when players get struck by injuries like this so often. Not great for the game.

Yea Walker snapped his achilles tendon again.

Season ending for him and possibly career ending.

Hmm.. Two ex-Knight players involved in two different incidents involving injuries. Perry and Brown.

Well maybe Benji should've drank more milk as a yougster instead of having shoulders made of glass and a knee to match!

I plan to run onto the field and hope to god he doesn't have a head clash with me as I taunt him with some KFC.
