Was his family with him in UK? Thinking that might be an issue but then could be so far wrong, my apologies if so.I know a lot of people don't like Weilder but he wrote a bit about Barba's return that he was actually doing well being back in the NRL (despite his past he got a glowing endorsement from the ESL) and had been keeping himself out of trouble up until that incident. Sounds like it was just a brain snap that let to it all happening. It just seems some blokes can't handle the drink/have anger/drug issues and he's one of them. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on what way you look at it it was out there publicly for it to be seen but at least there is nothing to cover up this time.

It’s great to see DV perpetrators being forced out of our game. Hopefully it might make some players think before they hit their wives/girlfriends. The NRL needs to remove the players who repeatedly assault their partners or take drugs from the game.
