The fact that they are the league’s laughingstock. Nobody completely writes of tigers or dragons even though they are bottom feeders, they will likely make you pay if you take them for granted. Nobody gives the knights that kind of respect no matter where they stand on the ladder.

What hurts is watching these teams turn themselves around and start performing, where we will be sacking another coach and still languishing.

Absolutely we are the leagues laughing stock, the fact Christian Welch was asking Bellamy how we lost to the Panthers proves it.

I think that shows some level of respect though, like Welch genuinely expected we'd win that one, with so many Panthers regulars out. I think it'd be a sign of low respect if we'd won the game but questions were asked about how the Panthers lost to Newcastle.
 
What frustrates me most is the wasted opportunity. AOB needed to go by or before the end of last season.

We are the exact same team as we were one month into AOBs first season. Different players. But the exact same team. All the same weaknesses and shortcomings persist and were persistent the entire time, and yet, somehow fans close their eyes and cross their fingers as though somehow things will just 'click'.

Its so dumb. The players are clearly over it. The Saifitis are playing at 70%. The juniors are wondering why AOB refuses to open legitimate pathways. And the fans should be absolutely livid that the club has let 2 of the best available coaches sign with rival clubs when clearly the stocks are low. Fuming.

I hope so.

The team is not improving, we are just cannon fodder for other teams. If I was a sponsor, I would not want to be associated with a team that perpetually underperforms. Likewise fans should not be expected to part with their hard earned money to watch the team play the way they have been playing.

Sounds like adam has rocks for brains and one of them fans we seem to have many off that just accept participation by players as being enough and the same repetitive dribble and game plan from AOB

As for Barry a lot of people work earlier and back doesn't mean they are the right person for the job, it could very well mean they are falling behind and not upto it
Or the work load is to much and extra hours need to be put in
It's also what a lot of teachers pets(boss suck ups) do to make them look better then what they are in the bosses eyes

In my opinion half the problem is attitude. Line speed, aggression, kick pressure, support play, all those 1% EFFORT plays that require no skill only attitude.

AOB has fostered an environment where players feel their selection in the team is never under threat.

Yes this can be put down to poor recruitment and retention ( no depth in the roster ) . But if a player is not putting in EFFORT , replace them with someone who is putting in EFFORT . Yes there will be some losses initially, but long term it sets standards within the playing group.

We are all Knights fanatics that is why we post on here right. I just don’t know what people mean when they’re criticising the effort and desire of the team this year. We lose games because we have some terrible players. Tyson Gamble couldn’t crack an awful Broncos team, nobody thinks Phoenix will ever be a NRL hooker. I like Hastings and his ok but if he played his absolute best he might be a top 10 halfback?

Despite the roster we’ve actually been competitive and probably unlucky to not win more games. If the boys weren’t having a crack some of the results would be diabolical.
