Adam O'Brien replacement?

I’m 58 and one big thing in my bucket list is for the Knights to win another premiership before I die. They way the Knights have been going for the last 20 year, I would settle for one more premiership before I die.

As a younger fella, I laughed at Cronulla going (as it turned out to be) 50yrs in the comp with no premiership and North Sydney going for something like 77yrs without winning one.

Now I'm destined to the same fate. 22yrs and running now (presuming we don't win it this year).

Don’t forget with their huge leagues club and plenty of juniors, it’s 36 years and counting since Parramatta have won a premiership. Living in the Parramatta area, I enjoy paying out on the Eels.

I thought they were buying into what he was doing. I was obviously wrong. Get rid of him. Bring in a bloke that can put some guts into them. A bloke who is a leader and has done it before. Sos madge Maguire.
Maybe it's clutching at straws but I'm finding harder and harder to get up for what they are dishing out.

“can’t think of a coach who would do better”? What about a guy named Hassler, or McGuire, or Morris. I really like the comment, the coaches need to start playing the players in specialist positions.

The team has fallen off a cliff..... literally just lost to a NSW cup roosters squad.

Season is done, club needs to move on from the AOB experiment.
if Wests were going to pull the pin on AOB they'd wait until the end of the season.

I'm all for letting a bloke have a red hot crack, things take time, I understand that, but AOB is in his 4th year? is that right? 4 years and still dont look competitive for a top 8 let alone challenging for a premiership is not good enough. The roster is looking in very poor shape.

Agree,
He has had control of the team for 4 years.
-Roster has gotten worse
-Cap has gotten worse
-Results have gotten worse
-Safs have gotten worse
-Game plan has been the same boring one out crap for 4 year.

Hasler and McGuire are terrible options, last thing we want is retread coach who has tried and failed before. Hasler is the worst option, always leaves a club in a far worse position then he found it.

Better off targeting someone with new ideas and energy. Statistically coaches find their greatest success in their first club appointment.

It's always a gamble but you want to find the Andrew Webster of the current assistants.

Barry annoys the crap out of me and seems to be afraid to call it as it is.

As mentioned by others hasler and macguire will do a much better job.
I have no answers for who should be the next guy, but I have to say, Hasler and Maguire are no sure things to get anything more out of this team. Des has a pretty good record but it's been up and down for a while now. We saw how badly he left the Bulldogs. He's the kind of guy that could ruin your club and leave it reeling for the next half decade. Madge on the other hand, the last time a team of his won over 50% of their games was 8 years ago. So I'm not rushing into thinking that they are much better options as you said.

I honestly don't know what the answer is or who should take over, would loved to have seen Flanagan come here.

AOB isn't working, he might be able to coach but for whatever reason it's not turning into results.

Not going to blame everything on him, maybe it's due to the horrible culture that this club is riddled with?

above all else, first and foremost the culture is largely AOB's responsibility . I do wonder if the problem isnt a bit further up the management chain and sitting at the door of the Wests Group CEO.
