If they start slow AOB is dead in the water.
The media will have a feeding frenzy and a coach can't survive that level of scrutiny.
You can't say teams can start slow and your happy to give him the year, and then say we have the squad to give any team a scare and it's the coaches fault if we don't.
Simply put, if OB can't motivate them to turn in performances based on effort, getting there, sliding defence in numbers to help the centre/winger defend, and looking like they give a chit then he needs to go.
This place needs a hard man to come in, set clear standards that are upheld no matter what or who, and be given the freedom to drop/cut players who don't uphold the standard no matter the player.
Only once this happens, with the whole club at every level can we see the results fans expect.
Saifiti from what I read came out and said he let his standards drop as he signed a long term contract and lost motivation. That is on the coach!

I dont agree but we are in front of no one.
Article about Jirah going to Parra.
“Scott Pryde
The Knights, on paper, for mine, have the weakest roster this season.”
Scott Pryde is a moron.

A player losing motivation is on the coach... wow that's beyond ridiculous
The good coaches get the players to believe in them "get on the bus" so to speak
Agree. Players need intrinsic motivation. Coaches can only do so much. Not sure why coaches alone are responsible for making players want to play. Are players not also motivated to play for the fans, their teammates, friends and family? Are they not motivated to be the best in the sport at their position? Are they not motivated to rub good performances in reporters' faces after a critical article about them? To be selected for rep sides? To earn another contract? Because it's their job to play? There's literally tons of reasons individuals might be differently motivated. Coaches certainly have some responsibility, but far from all of it.A player losing motivation is on the coach... wow that's beyond ridiculous
Hunt is the only reason I have them winning a game all year. Still only see them winning 3-5 games in total. If you took hunt out of that dragons side I'd put my house on them for the spoon
The old adage that a champion team will always beat a team of champions comes to mind. Some teams are greater then the sum of their whole. To me, that comes from a coach having a clear plan that is shown to work over a period of time, meaning that each individual in the team comes to trust the plan and to trust the players next to them to carry it out. The motivation then becomes more than playing at a level that might get you noticed for rep level, it becomes one of not letting the blokes around you down. This is where Bellamy and Bennett have been so successful. These teams are usually marked by defensive excellence and seemingly no difference in performance levels whether playing at home or away, or the size of the occasion. They just get the job done.Agree. Players need intrinsic motivation. Coaches can only do so much. Not sure why coaches alone are responsible for making players want to play. You’ve just said what I tried to say above in a much more concise and intelligent wayThe old adage that a champion team will always beat a team of champions comes to mind.
