Remember seeing Black play u19 origin and he looked great. Was disappointed Broncos had him til end of this year - he probably would have debuted this season if he stayed and would potentially be their 7 next year with Reynolds retiring. They obviously didn’t see much in him.
In the origin game, I thought he looked miles better than Rodwell and Mitch Woods, who commentators were glazing over.
Typical halfback, barking orders at everyone, organising the team, good kicking game. Some of his grubbers close to the line are superb. (Went on a deep dive watching his 2024 or 25 QLD cup matches)
I posted at the time he looked like he had a bit of “Munster” about him. I didn’t see the game last night to comment much about it.
Curious to see how it develops at Canberra.
Sanders, Strange and Black. Seems 1 too many young half. That performance kind of shows his capabilities and you’d have to be considering him moving forward.

I'd seriously put in black over sanders. The guy is an out and out half and also has ad lib in his game. Once the game slows down for him, the potential is endless.

Hope Marzhew gets some recognition in some team of the year, somewhere, for a great season ... get the feeling he'll fly under the radar compared to some higher profile players, though.
