2026 Recruitment And Retention

Ok. I hope we can get him. But you still need old heads in the forwards particularly FR and bench.
We will have
Jsaf
Croker
Jones

Off contract next year
Frizz
Elliot
Hethington

I feel we need one more established FR forward. Or maybe enough if we keep one or both Hethro and Elliot. Frizz I say this and next year.

Players not signed for 2026, Brailey, Thompson L, both gone, Hastings, Hetherington, Jones R, Taukamo, KPP, Elliott and Croker. 9 in total leaving 24 signed for 2026 including Brown, Frizell (MO) and McCarthy (PO) but not Thompson T.
Team from that would look something like the following:- 1 Ponga, 2 Schiller, 3 Gagai, 4 Best, 5 Marzhew, 6 Sharpe,
7 Brown, 8 JSaf, 9 Crossland, 10 Frizell, 11 Lucas, 12 McEwen, 13 Cant, 14 Arthur, 15 Jones B, 16 Manuleleua,
17, Sullivan
Remainder:- DeCourcey, McCarthy, Annan, Gamble, Cogger, Hopwood and ESL.

I've already started a thread about this, please do not post outside of there regarding 2026 team.

It's morally reprehensible you would post outside of it and quite Frankly I am ashamed of you.

Anymore infringements will result in permanent suspension from this forum for atleast 2 weeks!

Based on the above we seem well covered in positions 1-7, not so in 8-13. We need signings that will push players shown at 15-17 back to Cup as backup for injuries etc

Article on Linnane signing with the warriors.
Warriors spokesman correctly identifies his strengths as his running game and speed and then says they hope he comes back and takes up where he left off.
I'm a big fan of Linnane, but I wouldn't give him a 3 year deal till I see how he looks next pre-season.

Agreed and probably the mentality of the club, “we love ya kid but. We’d to make sure you’re all good”.

He probably wouldn’t have minded if it a club hadn’t come calling.

Wasn’t there a rumour he would leave and we would sign dragons NSW Cup 5/8 King Togo’s to replace him? That benefits us big time, this kid is a great prospect and I think will be 1st backup to our starting halves half way through next year

Not that we are in with a lick of a chance after signing Brown but the Tigers have released a statement saying Galvin's team do not have interest in reviewing the Tigers offer and intend to test the open market for beyond 2026. Not so subtle dig at their disappointment on how Moses has handled things considering his stitch up the last time he managed multiple high profile players at the Tigers.

Not just test the open market but Galvin has confirmed he won’t be at the Tigers beyond 2026.
