Even a team like the Tigers despite having less injury issues have looked far better than a wooden spoon team this year.

Even though we lost to them last year I wouldn’t have an issue with the Titans winning the spoon. They’ve definitely been the worst team this year even when everyone has been available

I’ve moved on but I understand those who haven’t. As long as he wins as many premiereships as we do or less since he’s been gone that’s all I care about.
If he does end up coaching another foundation team this Souths team may be his last window…

It's nothing new by Trashrith.

They won't be winning in 2025.

That derelict won't be able to spin his shirt at the end of the year.
 

The NRL has to do something over this completely ridiculous stance on protection of the kickers.

The kicker is a player with the ball in hand and can be legally tackled. Any tackle that is legal on a ball runner should be legal on a kicker, with the exception of diving at the legs which should be penalised as dangerous.

The kicker does not have the right to kick the ball untouched, if a tackler can legally get to them then they can legally tackle them in the motion of kicking, within regular tackling rules.

Cleary should have seen the tackler coming, and been forced in to running the ball, finding an alternate kicker, stepping around the tackler etc. Instead, Cleary receives the ball knowing the rules are heavily weighted to him, so he kicks the ball regardless knowing he is likely to get a penalty.

He was out injured with a broken foot for several months at the start of the season, had four games in NSW Cup, and was then into first grade. I don’t think you can blame him for that!
