2025 Season

Leniu behaves exactly like the type of loser that would get destroyed in an actual fight.

Trashy loser.

He should put his money where his mouth is and fight some South Americans. He would get wrecked.
As someone who has been involved in mixed martial arts for what seems like my whole life and is part South American, not all South Americans can fight, they are just regular people who try to get by in life, some easy and some hard, like any country.

They could knock him out and he could also knock them out, it will be two regular people throwing hands with zero to little technique.

It seems that the discussion about eligibility criteria for Origin may have been prompted because they knew this was coming, and with Haas falling, others will likely follow.

Not that I'm against the change to the Origin eligibility, I think it will be a net positive for international RL, which will be a net positive for RL overall.

Grant so clever there at the death from dummy half.

Not a fan of the milking a penalty, but a good example of Penrith stretching the rules, and Storm gamesmanship and desire of both teams to win.

Moses knows what he is doing being there. Grant milks the contact to draw attention to the illegal block.

He’s unbelievable. The winning play was amazing but he almost single-handedly kept them in it when Penrith were on top all through the first half. Melbourne have had the two best hookers I’ve ever seen back to back. It’s like if we already had Johnathan Thurston ready to go when Andrew Johns retired.

Karma got Clearly last night. Whinging about Harry Grant acting, taking a dive. When he does the same thing when he kicks and get tapped.

Grant the great actor should have been penalised and given time in the bin for the dive he took on Leota as Cleary kicked the goal. I like Grant as a player and Melbourne as a team, but diving like that is coached into them. Just look at Grant last night and Nicho Hynes on a weekly basis.
With all due respects to both teams and the poor refereeing across the NRL atm, the better team lost last night.

Penrith have only themselves to blame, very atypical performance from them. Totally dominated field position and were well on the way to grinding their way to the win but had a lot of hiccups in their process & lost discipline (may actually be a blessing in disguise for Talagi to learn a hard lesson now rather than in finals though). Edwards made uncharacteristic errors too and To'o had a bit of a Marzhew game, turns out his height & lack of aerial ability is a real vulnerability, they just usually don't give anyone the chance to exploit it. Tago did a bad job of helping him out defensively too.

Penrith dominant physically as always but it was 5 tries to 3 - the better team won, no two ways about it. Very very tough performance from Melbourne to pull it out with the injuries they have atm. Storm fans would be giddy about their premiership chances now, if their pack and outside backs can hold their gloves up better than they did last year, the spine guys + Xavier Cheat Code can do the rest (assuming Hughes is good to go).
