2025 Recruitment And Retention

Honestly - I noted earlier I've heard Terrell doesn't like footy.

He's played 27 games of NRL by the age of 25 despite obviously being a terrific athlete, on another level vs both brothers. That's a bit of a red flag.

He was a bit of a no show in both finals games where they got pumped, but he was up and about in their big win over Manly.

I actually think it's plausible that it's not because of really gross "off-field stuff". The Roosters may just literally think he doesn't meet the standards expected of a player for that club. And those standards are about training habits and willingness to roll one's sleeves up when the going gets tough.

Not someone I want at the Knights either way.

I'd say POS has kept his powder dry, knowing that Leo would receive offers on the open market it was best for the Knights to provide a revised offer in response to those offers as Leo's agent would ofc guide the Knights as to the terms of competing offers.

This way we don't overspend or miscalculate what was necessary to re-sign the player, the market will tell us where we need to be on all fronts.

Given how badly we need Leo, I'd be surprised if the offer wasn't strong enough to close the deal.

Understand all players “want to play for premierships. But that’s doesn’t mean you automatically go to the glamour clubs.

Try and build that dynasty with your current club. It’s what Penrith were able to achieve from front office to field, same with Storm. So hopefully players like Leo see the curre t quality of front office (who hopefully remain together for another couple years minimum) down to lower grade quality and success and onto the field - of which we’ve made finals 4-5 times recently and are showing signs of being on the up.

Players make representative teams, especially the guy we’re trying to resign but also great to see the development of Crossy, Lucas and Sharpe with international reps this yr.

Were in a much better position than we were with Young, let’s just hope he and his manager are open and on board.
