2025-2026 Summer of Cricket

Sorry I do completely agree. The points system for the ladder just really doesn’t promote that style of batting anymore. It promotes the game moving along much quicker and I think that is to the detriment of players in all facets of the game.

Women's test in Perth starts at 3:30 pm on Kayo. Because the Aussies swept the ODIs, I believe India needs to win to tie the series on points.

Should be an entertaining match. Hopefully, it lasts longer than the Ashes test in Perth.

Pretty enjoyable test and series for the Women v India, Lefty. Especially to fight back to sweep the ODIs and take the test after losing the T20 section 2-1.

Nice to have a dominant series win over India after the slip-up in the semi-final of the World Cup essentially gifted the Indians the trophy. And a fitting way for Healy to go out, what phenomenal player she has been for Australia...glad she's sticking around as a commentator, which she is also excellent at.

It was great to see the women demolish India and for Healy to retire in style.

If Alyssa and Mitch Starc have children, they will have an truely exceptional cricketing pedigree!

Sutherland appears to be on track to be Australia’s next female test batter.

I love watching Alana King bowl, she regularly bowls unplayable leg breaks. Gardner is an excellent off spinner. Hamilton was very impressive with the ball and she looks like she will be a future all rounder as well. Litchfield is a capable batter and very cute as a bonus.

Caoimhe Bray is probably a name to watch out for. Seems to be one of those women who just takes wickets for fun. Scores some runs. Probably be a perry mould I guess.

Kiwi Brett Randell took five wickets in five balls in a first class match recently. This has never been done before in the 254 years history of first class cricket.

I can’t see this record being matched.

This pitch at Lords is a shambles I have to say. Barely been a single wicket in the entire test that hasn’t been caused by some sort of ridiculous variable bounce or extreme movement.

Don’t know how we can have a pitch that was perfectly fine at a club ground for the test match in Ireland last week, but Lords produces something like this.

A real disappointment because NZ playing at Lords is usually a real highlight.

I think our error was we didn’t click just how bad the pitch was when bowling, aimed at the normal corridor of uncertainty instead of just at the wickets, and let the bounce do the work.
