Chapman was all rocks and no diamonds today.

I resisted the urge to say that during the game because I knew she'd hold one and score the minute I did
 
Roosters up 18 - 4 over Saints at halftime.
Saints looked good for 25 minutes and I thought they might prove their win last week wasn't a fluke, but Roosters ran in a few quick tries just before halftime.

We gave saints too much good ball and played conservative aob ball when we had it. Fluke it was but we looked flat most the game.
 
Parra made hard work of beating the Tigers 12 - 10.
We have to beat them next week, and we usually do well against Parra. I'd say we are their bogey side.
 
Calibre sports group announced their player who’s just signed with Knights NRLW on a 2 year deal. Wonder if this is to replace Abi Roache.

At 17 she's played centre for the u/19 Maroons and been named on the wing for the Australian Schoolgirls team, so that's encouraging. Can't find any clips of her though. Wonder if she's straight into the top squad or a year on the development list first.
 
Kirra Dibb had 2 try assists, a line break assist, and kicked the game winning field goal and didn’t get a single Dally M Point.

What the hell has she done to people to deserve the constant disrespect?

They aren't the stats the "gurus" look at when picking daly m points unfortunately. I'm sure they don't even watch games half the time.

Heaps of Newcastle NRLW content on Over the black dot this week.
Ron Griffiths one of the commentators - short profiles of Bec Young and Ben Jefferies and also comments on our loss to the Sharks and upcoming game.
Bec Young isn't shy about saying she started the first team in Newcastle to play in the Sydney comp and it Morphed into the CRL and then into the Knights NRLW side. All true.
 
Tigers 14 - 6 Broncos at halftime.
Broncos look likely to score time after time, but just fail to finish.
The second half could go either way.
 
Broncos ran over the tigers 44 - 14 in the second half.
Knights are now 4th on the ladder but equal 2nd on points with 5 other sides.
For and against might decide who makes the finals, so we have to have a big win over bottom placed Tigers next week, and a loss to the tigers would be a disaster.
 
Sharks 12 - 4 Saints at halftime
Saints are putting up a fight, but they'll need luck to get a win in the second half.
 
The standard of competition has been raised significantly from last year so I think there’ll be one or two surprise teams in the finals, but I like the Knights’ chances against anyone in a sudden death finals series. Reckon they were already the better team against the Sharks last week despite the result.

Still most worried about the Titans despite their shaky form, with Broncos behind them but not convinced they’ll maintain this. Roosters showed who they really are again today.
 
No they’re not that good, we scored more tries last week without even playing that well. However, they have almost guaranteed themselves a finals spot now unless the Roosters, Titans and Broncos all put big scores on them.

If we make it, I’d definitely like to play them in the semis.
 
The Roosters have to play the Raiders, Sharks, cowboys and Eels. All of those teams are capable of beating them. If they just start the game really aggressive, punch them in the mouth early, so to speak, they go into their shell.
They can’t handle teams giving it back to them. In their mind their suppose to win easy, so if those teams can just disrupt them early, they can cause some upsets.

I think everyone would love to see them be the ones not make the finals.

I’m sure nobody else except us wants a knights 3 peat either but stuff em, we’ve had to put up with the men’s team for 20 years, we deserve a chance at a 3 peat.
