Any1 sub to DT to read how Sharks have apparently "SLAMMED DOOR SHUT" on Lachie Miller coming here? Substance or fluff piece? etc etc
Yea nothing article. Legit 1 line saying sharks will reject any offer for miller.

You'd think the Sharks wouldn't stand in the way of a 27 year old player who cannot make their 17 but is guaranteed a starting fullback roll elsewhere.

Sharks obviously think they're in a premiership window and view their backup fullback as a key strategic asset to their title shot. But surely even that won't prevent this signing from occurring, they're just negotiating for something

Herald article saying we are closing in on signing Miller and talks about what that means for Ponga.
The article says Ponga has noticeably bulked up for his move to the halves - can't say I've noticed.

It says the only 2 fullbacks we will have on our 30 man roster will be yet to debut Hodgson and 7 game Rugby convert Miller who is 28 years old.
Says Miller is from Coffs Harbour and that he helped Newtown win a minor premiership last year.

Hardly what you'd call a coup, he looks exciting in attack, but not sure he has any other attributes, his their 3rd choice for a reason.....

This isnt very updated but just some of the middle forwards available from 23 or if we could snag one earlier.

And then those available from 24

Bit of chat around that George Williams might be coming back to aus.

Will be disappointing if someone snags him on similar money to what we're giving to Hastings

He's 28 years old and has only managed 7 first grade games. Why are we all so excited about signing him? He played 7s rugby, which suggests he wasn't good enough to play the 15 man game for a country that itself isn't very proficient.

Gagai, Hodgson etc. are surely much better options at FB. Has anyone that old ever burst onto the scene positively?

Cody Walker was 1 year younger than that but had a lot more time in reserve grade beforehand.

I do feel like Hodgson getting injured a lot has ****ed with the club’s planning… but why did we not just keep Tex Hoy if we were thinking of moving Kalyn?

With Lachie Miller blocked, it’s either Tesi Niu - very talented but comically lazy - or Corey Allan with Canterbury paying half his wage - looked good getting spoon fed try assists by Cody Walker but has struggled since and keeps getting injured all the bloody time.

Reckon if we ask nicely the Storm might give Nick Meaney back? 😂

Maybe seems simpler just to play Hastings and Gamble in the halves, and think about moving Kalyn *after* someone kills it at fullback in reserves, not *on the assumption that someone will*… maybe this will prove to be the approach once AOB has had some time to have a look at his players.
