ID like to see Gagai at 1. If only to get someone capable in to the halves.

If you look at Ponga's performance as a 1 alone, he is underwhelming. IMHO.

Get him out of there and structure the team better.

But even with that change, I don't see OB being able to get the best out of what we have. Far from it.
 
I’m surprised that the Knights did not have some contingency plan in place if they did not get Brooks, particularly as they did not get him last year. They seem to have put all their 🥚 🥚 🥚 in the same basket 2 years running. On the face of it, it is bad management, not learning from past mistakes.

Unless we sign a decent half and fullback, we will not be competitive 2 seasons in a row.

We haven't been competitive in a long time. We're just playing to our strengths 😆

I reckon he has weighed It up and figured he would be playing Fullback at least for 1/2 to 3/4 of each year over the 4 year contract.

That and why would he want to come would have also played a part In his decision aswell.
 
So basically for 2023 we’ve got KP that’s rumoured to move to 5/8 with no ready made back-up fullback, 3 reserve grade halfbacks in Clune, Gamble and Crossland and our target for halfback probably won’t be here until 2024, if at all, and our planned fullback to sign in Garrick has shunned us to remain at Manly for 4 years in a position he doesn’t even want to play.

It's not obviously up to him. But usually when a player wants out, the club let's them go. Sheen's would be old school, hard nosed. Maybe AOB should be taking notes! So Hastings is not off contract?

Just looking at the Tigers. They have signed Koroisau, and Papalili, they have Douhie and Brooks in the halves and Hastings ball playing lock.
 
Don't know if you boys watch Bloke in Bar on YouTube. Very good footy analysts. On the latest episode there's a segment they talk about Brooks, Garrick, Knights, etc. You can scroll to just that section if you don't want to watch the whole episode.

Sad but accurate summary.

If our forwards all have a red hot crack we can stay in most match's for mine, its not a bad looking pack.........

But even Hetherington and Elliot will start dogging it and turning peaheart like the rest of them.

It is such a good show, much better than 360.
