I wonder if we are giving Brock Gardner a chance in NSW cup.

Souths poached him from our under 18s and put him straight into their top 30, but he never got on the field because of covid and he did his achillies in pre season last year. Souths cut him for this year, but he is a smallish middle forward with high workrate of the sort everyone seems to be looking for and only 21. Before the 2021 season he was tipped to make firstgrade.

It’s clearing space for Eddie. Everyone saying “yep we can just punt Musgrove to make space for Eddie to come back in”, yeah it doesn’t work like that. When someone’s under contract, you can only move them if someone else wants them…

The nib Newcastle Knights have agreed to release Starford To'a from the remaining two years of his current contract.
 
We did have too many outside backs and probably need another half/utility and a couple more forwards. We can add Star's money to the million odd we have to spend - so maybe 1.2 or 1.3 mill to fill 3 positions.
 
Yes, and for all his talent, it sounds like he has dropped further down the pecking order as a winger, with Young being talked up so much and maybe having Lee available for cheap. Sad to see him go, but probably a wise business decision.
 
Bit of a weird one… how’s this benefit us? Would’ve had him next in line behind Hunt/Tuala. Hopefully this just means that the club have high hopes for Dom and they’re grooming him to be our next best winger if Edrick’s a no go.
 
I dont mind the idea of having Brooks if we were to trade with tigers. Dom Young is only going to get better. 😤 they may even chuck Bailey Hodgson on the wing for game time experience this season?
