I think Noah Nailagoliva is 18 and Kobe Rugless is 19. They are both aggressive and clever competitors. I don't know why Noah is about the 8th guy from under 19s to get a run. He would have been the first I picked.

Agree on Nailagoliva, he'd be getting a development squad spot next year if I had anything to do with it.

Edit: He hasn't been playing local league either so guessing he's been injured. He failed a HIA in the last SG Ball game.

Kobe Rugless and Tevita Toloi are out.
Myles Martin is in for his first game of Flegg. Lachlan Williams joins the bench.
Harry Croker starts at lock after player centre for the last few weeks. He'll be fullback next week.
Myles Martin was a year young for Ball and will be two years young for Flegg - same with Fletcher Sharpe and Etan Ferguson.

Just noticed that Noah Ryan is debuting at halfback for Canberra after he led the Knights team to the top of the table earlier this year.

Canberra 32 - 20 Knights fulltime

  • Lachlan O'BRIEN 11'
  • Fletcher Sharpe 28'
  • Jyris Glamuzina 54'
  • Luke Pietzner 62'
We got it back to 26 - 20 with 8 minutes to go, but Canberra scored in the last minute to make it look more comfortable than it was.

Sadly, playing Canberra in Canberra in mid winter is never good for junior sides.
6 hours on a bus and getting thrown out into Antarctica to play a footy game.
Two tries in the first 10 minutes while our guys were trying to work out if their noses had frozen off.

Hell of a lot of inclusions this week.

  • Chris Vea'ila - back from injury
  • David Armstrong - back from reserve grade
  • Jaron Purcell - back from reserve grade
  • Max Bradbury - back from SOO rep team
  • Oryn Keeley - back from SOO rep team
  • Paul Bryan - back from SOO rep team
  • Tevita Toloi - just back
  • Tim Johannssen - back from reserve grade
Nearly half the team replaced by quality players.

Will they ease Vea'ila back into NSW Cup, I have high hopes of him to be a future NRL centre for us.
They have named him at 3 in Flegg and have 4 forwards on the bench, so must have faith in him to go 80 minutes.
This year he played a fair few under 19s games, some reserve grade and some under 21s as well as training and trialling with firsts - so he's been all over the shop.
If we miss the finals I won't be surprised if the give him a firstgrade game, so 4 grades in 1 year.

Team V Wests
That's a hell of a forward pack. Tim Johannssen has played a lot of reserve grade and I think he was starting prop in at least 1 game, and he's on the bench with 3 other monsters.

David Armstrong and Tim Johannssen are out, replaced by Mitch Henderson and Harry Croker. They have Mitch Henderson listed in the fullback slot but I suspect Jones will go to fullback and Henderson to 5/8.
