2022-2023 Summer of Cricket

As a fan though, we'd all rather a 4th innings chase that could go either way. If I'm England and NZ chase them down, then hats off to them. I much rather that than the conservative, far too late declarations Cummins has made from time to time. Michael Clarke is bit of a hood rat but at least he kept the game moving as captain.
Oh totally, I'm not sure about England's complete slog-athons, but a declaration that gives both sides a chance is always a good thing.

Warner has a broken elbow as well, so I don’t think he will play in the last 2 tests of this series.

It gives Renshaw 2.5 tests to secure a place in the team bearing in mind that Warner’s record in England is poor.

Broad was brilliant, one of those great spells he has now and then.

NZ well and truly in a rebuilding phase, unfortunately they keep selecting 30yos with average domestic records.

Australia have taken 2 exceptional cases catches but dropped 2 others they should have taken. They need to improve their catching.

India were in trouble and have fought their way out of it.

Excellent return to form from Lyon with good support from Murphy and Kuhnemann.

Cummins has been somewhat disappointing, if he was not the captain, he could be dropped for Starc for the next test.

Out of consideration for James we will not talk about the test match which has just ended in the land to the east of Australia.

At least we got past 100 which didn't look likely at one stage! 😂

First loss to England at home since 2008.
