2021 Harold Matts and SG Ball.

Not happy about his injuries, but I am happy there is a reason he is not there. I rate him as the best I've seen since Kade Snowden on his under 16s form.

Let's hope they get him right again because you are spot on, when he's 100% fit he's a standout in that age group.

Matale might be in our reserve grade squad, but Bradbury and Crouch would still be 17 I think.

I could be wrong but when we signed Toni Mataele wasn’t it meant to be first year as a development player then into the top 30 or maybe it was Jersey Flagg into a development spot

Here in lies the problem of clubs not giving any info outside of top 30 as I thought Ticehurst was also meant to be a development player this year

In Ball, Noah Ryan 18 has replaced Noah Griffiths 7 at halfback.
I'm a big fan of Noah Ryan. I loved the work he did linking with Codi Crowther in under 16s - a Mullen like long pass to put the winger away time after time.

Ethan Ferguson is one to look out for in the next few years then, Billy?
He looks like Latrell Mitchell
He plays like Latrell Mitchell
He comes from the same place as Latrell Mitchell
He says his favourite club is Souths
I think he could be anything, but we'll do well to keep him.

Impossible to know what happened in the SG Ball game.
The updates guy put all the tigers scores in as they happened and had them up 26-6, but now he is adding the Knights scores and has it 26-22 to the tigers with a minute to go.

It's hard to have faith in the SG Ball scoresheet because it was so badly updated, but if I read the times right, we were down 18-6 at halftime, fought back to lead 22-18, and then gave up 2 tries in 3 minutes to their winger near the end of the game.
It might come down to us having a wounded player on the wing and no replacements, and them getting a few late tries from that.

Interesting piece of trivia out of SG Ball today, the opposing locks & captains won a GF together for Raymond Terrace a couple of years ago.

Apparently the Tigers had a heap of key players out for the Ball game, but dug deep to beat their captain and star player from last year, Zane Camroux.
Juniors are hard to predict. It often comes down to something like one side being motivated to get one over an old mate.

Chris Vea'ila back from firstgrade training and Noah Nailagolivia back in the starting side and we are starting to look good. Tom Cant has scored in the last 2 games and is on the bench now. Penrith have won 5 of the last 6 we have played them in Ball. They are usually our bogie side. We need to put on a good show against them. It won't be the end of the world if we lose, but we need to be competitive if we are going to threaten for the title this year.
In last week's game, Noah Nailagolivia came on after 20 minutes when we were down 3 tries to 1 and we scored the next 3 tries before letting in a couple of late ones to lose. Nailagolivia makes a hell of a difference in both attack and defence. If he has the fitness to play the whole game, and with Vea'ila charging onto the ball and our strong forward pack, we should be hard to beat.

30-18 knights, quarter to go. Knights looking a little bit worse for wear. Hopefully got some fitness left.

Noah Nailagoliva was completely baked at 50 minutes. They put Noah Ryan on to do dummy half, but left Nailagoliva on for the full 80 playing lock or second row. He was dragging his backside around the field, but still making half our important plays, including holding up the player in goal when they nearly equalised.
I don't know why he missed the start of the year, but he is clearly well out of shape and they are trying to run him into fitness. Despite that, he was probably our best.

Mathews are well off the pace. They need 3 or 4 big forwards. The forwards they have worked hard but are very small and were outmuscled badly. I suspect Penrith are the team to beat, but the ref giving them every 50/50 call made it hard to work out how good they would be on an even playing field. Ethan Ferguson scored a good individual try and all his touches were class, but he didn't get much ball, or help.
