Lot of good stuff in that interview.
I think he was being a bit harsh on the younger guys though. He says the Saints guys were at a similar level, but we had guys like Sasagi and Black who were under 18s aged last year and half of last year's under 20s side out there, and Saints were mostly early 20s as far as I know. I'd guess about 2 years older on average.

Ponga playing much more like a traditional fullback for the All-Stars, following close behind the ruck rather than standing wide as a second receiver. Wonder if that's just a plan from Kidwell or if it's how he's been training for the Knights through the pre-season.

We have to get the balance right with Ponga.
He should play this more traditional role at fullback, but every now and then, especially when we are close to the line, he should slip into 5/8 and put on one of his great plays, just not live in the line like last year, because teams have worked that out.

After seeing the highlights surely Sione can’t con another coach into selecting him for FG? He is deadset awful.
Mann has never been and never will be a competent first grader let alone for a side striving for top 4.
Serious questions need to be asked if both are selected in the round 1 side.

The NRL needs to invest a lot of funds into the players media skills. It blows my mind how awful and sometimes dumb a lot of interviews and quick reviews are with the players. The fact that two of the numpties have f bombed on the live mic this evening isn’t good. Kids are watching and they need to be an example. Half of the players just come across as dumb in interviews and cannot even speak proper English. It’s embarrassing for the sport. You do almost have to feel sorry for the players as they don’t have the confidence or training to hold their own with the media. Ramien “yeah, Na, yeah Na it’s good Brah but loving it yeah, Na Brah. Boys are digging in yeah Brah” What?????

It's surprizing how similar Brailey and Randall look and play. Brailey has a touch of class about him that Randall doesn't, but you have to look closely to work out which is which.

Embarrassing hey. Unprofessional, leave that talk with your mates, it’s funny you brought that up, I was watching the Australian basket ball team being interviewed individually about their NBA careers etc, Bogut, Mills, Delly etc. It was impressive to hear them speak and it just comes down to the culture of their organisation. I’m sure it will be laughed at of course.

In all seriousness I don’t get what was so bad? 2 very average FGers who shouldn’t be near the full strength side. Most on here would agree with that statement if it were said by anyone but me.
