There really isn’t anything you can take away from the 9’s. It’s a hit and giggle tournament.

It’s like auditioning for a test spot by playing 20/20... and of course Australian cricket have been that stupid in the past by having domestic 20/20 instead of first class cricket leading up to the summer tests.

If a coach is persuaded to play someone in FG because of what he did in the 9’s then he really shouldn’t be a FG coach.

    I've solved our 5/8 dilemma.

    K. Gidley, sign this bloke up.

Can't take too much out of 9s but physically they look strong in defence.

Gids is one of the only old guys to play who isn’t a passenger.

except for signing Gidley to 5/8. That’s a no brainer.

Jake Saifiti was able to keep up in a pretty fast game. Saulo only had short minutes but looked more mobile than I’ve seen him. Good signs.

Play of the game was Tex Hoy's cover tackle early in the game. Don't read much in to nines, but that was a statement that he can compete with the big boys right there.

If Roberts-Davis and Soper Lawlor are going head to head for a spot, Soper-lawler won a points decision.
