2020 Player Rumours and Signings

Pointless talking about it because we can’t afford him, but I’d swap him for Ponga if we had a chance.

Both 22 with a good 10 years in front of them.
Both probably going to ask for 1 million a year longterm.
One is a proven matchwinner at the highest level.
The other has huge potential, but isn't winning many big games yet, so it's only unrealised potential.

5 years from now one of them might be the next immortal and the other might be that guy who could have been anything, and it could go either way, but if I could have either one for the same money right now, i'd take the guy who has the runs on the board.
 
Latrell has never played f/back that I can remember and no one has any idea about how he will go there .
As far as im concerned that means he doesn't have the runs on the board and don't forget he was dropped from SOO for poor form .
F/B is a lot more work than Latrell is used too I wouldn't swap him for Ponga to play F/b under any circumstances but I would get rid of anyone to have him play 5/8.

Latrell played fullback during his first season at the Roosters as well as wing, plus plenty of junior footy as fullback
 
All his junior footy was at fullback. Besides it’s a mute point if he goes to the Cowboys anyway. Will stay at centre with Val at the back.
 
Latrell has apparently asked Rugby Australia if they would be interested in him and seeing all the nrl teams seem to have pulled there offers and the roosters want him gone asap it may be his only choice . Imo let him go if that's what he wants , every time we lose a talent another one steps up to take his place so im not worried about him leaving the sport .
