Hazlewood took 3/34 against Worcestershire and was back to his best. Starc took 2/56, bowled another batsman off a no ball and another batsman had to replace his helmet after being hit by him. Starc used his pace to unsettle the batsman after the wicket stopped swinging.
 
Bancroft only scored 7 at Worcestershire and looked like he was struggling in the test match. Harris is 62 not out and could come into the team for the second test to replace Bancroft.

I only watched a few overs in the first session, but it was funny hearing the commentators say the pitch offered little to the bowlers, and Hazelwood looked unplayable in the few overs I saw.
 
Warner’s bad run continues but we aren’t badly placed only need a big score from one batsman, most likely Smith, with good contributions from a few others and 300+ will be good. Bowlers did very well
 
Warner's bad run is because he is past it only fit for hit and giggle. Bowl across his body and he can't resist poklng at the ball and last night could not defend a ball on the stumps.

Warner is a flat track bully. He always struggles in English conditions.

Hazlewood was excellent and had good support from Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon.

We now need to get a big lead over the Poms.
 
3 for 60 - could be worse, I thought it was Smith out without scoring, but it was Khawaga
 
This is the most important session in this match possibly the series, we need to score runs and not lose wickets, we need to fight for runs, bat through the day
 
Rained no play, two days left 4 down still behind by a bit only Poms can win this one but draw most likely especially if more rain. Need to bat for 2 sessions and wipe off deficit.

Commentator just said he is a technically complete batsman. I was just thinking he doesn't do anything right. He wanders around the crease any old way he pleases, he plays across the line all the time, his backlift looks more like he's playing baseball. He honestly looks like a guy who has never had a lesson and never held a bat before.
 
The game seems right in the balance.
If we can bowl them out for under 200 I think there will be plenty of time for either team to win on the last day.

Hopefully Smithy is good to go, Very short turnaround so could be dicey
 
What to do with the lack of openers is our big problem. Warner and Bancroft are putting huge pressure on the batting line up.
