2017/2018 Knights Player signing speculation

Chris Grevsmuhl only seen him play a couple of times but seems like a tough nut , I'm with member 1 yr good behavior contract with an option our way and a pay rise in 2018 if he plays 1st grade in 2017 and behaves ...
 
Grevsmuhl is a weapon. Has great leg drive. Regarded by Christian Wolfe the U 20's coach as being as good as Taumalolo when he was destroying every team in the competition at 16 and 17 years old.

Certainly hope he comes home but would be a great pick up for the Knights.
 
Kick Korbin in the arse and help him on his way to whereverwhogivesa****, and sign Grevsmuhl as a direct replacement for half the cost

Does anyone know of his height/weight, attributes etc?

Sounds pretty good too me... backrow, centre and fullback are the areas we need to strengthen. I'm pretty happy with our frontrow stocks.
 
The guy goes good, plenty of power and very good hole runner.

As someone said above... not sure he would work in our system under Brown!
But id rather have him here then not bother with him at all.

Couldnt see it costing us much more then 150k and if he stuffed up then his lose and we can use that money for 2018 on someone better
 
If Korbin goes, and Ponga isn't coming, we have a lazy 600k at least in the bottom drawer. I'd like to see us hold out for a 600k prop, and if one doesn't pop up, then we can look at still more fringe guys, although surely we have the market cornered for fringe forwards by now.
 
He's more than a fringe player though. He would walk in to nearly any pack in the NRL. QLD had massive wraps on him, and were grooming him for SOO in the next year or two. I have no doubt at all, he would instantly strengthen our squad.

Browny has said we have money for two more 'decent' players already. That's without knowing what Korbin will do. So, the money is still there to jump on someone good if they become available.

What's the point of sitting on cash now for 2018, if we can sign someone like Grevsmuhl on a cheap 1 to 2 year deal. It can only work in our favor.
 
If we dont make a player of his calibre an offer which I believe is fringe origin. Then he has massive issues and is a good thing we pass.

While the Knights could start the season $1 million under the salary cap as a result of Jarrod Mullen’s positive test to anabolic steroids, the club is in no rush to splurge in the player market.

They also have an additional $260,000 to play with following the departure of Korbin Sims.

Meanwhile the Knights have also ceased any interest in Valentine Holmes.

While they have the cash to make a serious play for the Cronulla star, they bowed out of the race for Holmes when they snared Kalyn Ponga’s signature last year.

A winger chasing 500k+ is a lol for days.

Think most are happy for us to run a 23 man squad till some 700k player comes along willing to play for the worst team in history to sign for 350k

Out of our current teams id choose Tyrone Amey to take korbs spot
And atm Mullen is still contracted but that will change by March though i got nothing other then Carney... but his a good player.... just a farrrrkwit
 
Carney signed with Salford

Tigers are apparently going to move Tim Simona on as they are over the cap. Definitely should be talking to him.
